About me.

I’m Ananya Panayappan, an IBDP student at Candor International School. My Higher Level subjects are Mathematics AA, Economics, and Computer Science. I’m particularly interested in where those subjects meet: financial models, the behavior of markets, and software that puts an idea to work.

In my research, I’ve examined portfolio resilience during major disruptions in Indian markets and the limits of Geometric Brownian Motion. I’m also studying volatility and risk transmission under the mentorship of Prof. Vineet Virmani at IIM Ahmedabad.

Volunteering with Mitra Jyothi introduced another kind of systems problem: making mathematics textbooks accessible to students who read Braille. My work has involved transcription workflows, Kannada OCR, and an English-to-Braille validator that helps identify potential translation errors.

Alongside research and software, I founded Project Flow, a school initiative on menstrual-health literacy. I’m also the strategic and financial co-founder of Mystera Skin, working on growth, forecasting, and investment planning for a handmade skincare company.
